Check this, was listening to the Morning Express on Class 95 and the Djs asked this question. What smell do you like and what smell do you not like? My answer was "I love the smell of fried chicken and hated the smell of someone who farted in an air-conditioned space." My answer was used as an example on air! Can you fucking believe that?! Well, Flying Dutchman did have to change the word farted to breaking wind. But fucking hell! My answer was read on air. That's like my borderline funny thoughts being broadcast to the whole nation. Probably some dude was like, "oh yeah...fart in the office....that sucks." Good Thursday.

After many many time away, i'm welcoming my ass back to blogger. Hi Blogger! I'm writing on blogger again because i realized that I still have many nonsensical things to write. Nonsensical things that I could not write anywhere else (in twitter, facebook or my bands blog). Therefore, in true honor of me teaching people how to be more of a jerk, here's a drop of knowledge!

A few days ago i've reached a revelation on how to insult a person. Yes, insult a person. Get ready........ if anyone. And i mean ANYONE is being a prick to you, call he/she.... A SPERM!

I'm taking a break from photography and in some sense slowing down my uploads on my Flickr account and also on updating my blog. Reason? Coz I'm in the process of writing. Yes. Writing. My photographs would be part of an exhibition called "BUD Student Photography exhibition". Please feel free to make your way down to Objectifs (56A Arab Street from Mon - Fri, 11am to 7pm / Sat, 12pm to 6pm) to view this cool exhibition. My work is titled "Where the wild kids are".

Been busy with life lately. Writing, snapping and more writing. Interesting things to look out for in the next few months. Wait for it.

:: Beginner Photography Class ::

Today marks the day where I'm finally done with my beginner photography class. Awesome 6 weeks of learning and meeting new people. Would like to say thanks to my art teacher, Terence, for really teaching us what photography really means. His actions pretty much speaks louder than his words. He defined the term 'passion' to me by his actions. This dude is really someone I truly look up to and respect.

Exciting news. Some of my photos will be exhibited at Objectifs next month (date will be published here when I remember). I've uploaded the photo project I did for my beginner class here. Please feel free to take a look at it.

More exciting news coming up soon. Been really busy to blog, let alone have a good 8 hours of sleep. Taking care people!!!

:: My toys ::

Now, this post would be confusing to some people. I've always been a gear head. I'm so into musical instruments. Not until recently, when I purchased a new guitar did I actually sit and count the number of instruments I have. Now, this list is divided by 2 groups. Active and in-active. The names in () is the nickname i gave to them.

In-active instruments

1) Samick SG - First guitar used in first ever Oligarchy gig. Not using it as the neck was stolen.
2) Yamaha classical guitar - Bought in Batam. Bridge broke off.
3) TGM Acoustic Guitar (Black)- first acoustic guitar that I bought. Retired it. Been with me for 10 years.
4) TGM Acoustic Guitar (Brown) - 2nd acoustic guitar I bought. Not using it cos the tuning pegs and the action of the guitar is too high. Gonna fix it in the near future.
5) TGM Jazz Bass (Da Arsehole) - The neck and pickup on this one really sucks. Hate it. Thus the nickname.

Active instruments
1) Samick Strat (Cruella) - Modified this to a 1 humbucker 1 volume guitar. Fitted with a JH Humbucker. Got this in 2001. Played a few gigs with Oligarchy.
2) Samick Precision Bass (Da Jerk) - Modified with 1 split p's, zombie pickups and a single volume know. Most favourite bass guitar ever! Was used in Oligarchy for a few shows.
3) No brand semi acoustic (Rusty) - Got this in 2007. No brand. Love the feel of it. All acoustic shows with Oligarchy was done on this.
4) Squier Telecaster (Obey) - Fitted with Alnicos humbuckers. Main gig guitar after the SG. Used in all Oligarchy's recording. Love this to hell!
5) Epiphone SG (19) - Newest guitar. Love the feel. Would probably change the humbuckers in the future.

So that's what I have now. Knowing me, I'm gonna get more. So here's a short wish list of gadgets and guitars to get.

Well, I've got the whole year to think and experiment before entering the studios.

:: Bike crash ::

Last weekend, I got into an accident and it hurts! Seriously. How it feels like? It kinda feels like getting into a boxing ring with your hands tied behind your bag fighting for 3 rounds. Painful. Was out for a week with no energy to do anything. Here's a funny video for people to see and laugh at.

:: What is this world coming to? ::

Something is really really wrong with my luck when it comes to telcos company in Singapore. First, I finally give in to buying Singtel's Mio plan just to watch soccer. Today, the big match, gets postponed! Come on man!!! Plus, I wanted to get a data plan for my Starhub mobile.... and this is what the sales person answered me when i ask when i can do it, "Oh, after 1 year you can recontract". When I told him when my contract ends he said, "Oh, can you wait 3 more months?" I'm like.... WTF. Come on people! At least BBQ is coming for Suf's birthday. I need to go and buy stuff for that soon man....

:: Kitty pot ::

This month is going really really well so far. With a $300 kitty pot to spend, I'm wrecking my brains to buy things. I finally got a fishing rod and reel. Caught a fish on its first outing. Now, what do I buy with the rest of the money. Here's a list

1) A new bass? (must be able to compete with Da Jerk which is hard)
2) A new bass bag?
3) Save it for recording?
4) A new helmet?
5) A new external hard disk?
6) PS3? - This would be extreme
7) A new CPU? - Now this would be really really extreme
8) Go on a holiday?
9) Rent a chalet?
10) BBQ?

:: Last weekend ::

Last weekends, there was no gigs, no jam, no nothing. Last weekend was filled with nothing. Finally, a time to rest, a time to reflect, a time to catch up on much needed sleep and lastly, a time to just hit that stop button to rest. Right?

WRONG!

Last weekend was GREAT! Filming, cousins getting married, went to the guitar shop and writing! Now, that's life people! Weekend was really really busy but its uber rad! Took pictures too. Might be editing it and putting it on flickr real soon. Tomorrow's a busier day. Back to work! BOOYAH!

There's 2 things in Singapore now that's really important.

If you have never ever tasted Chicken Rice, something is really wrong. Even writing the sentence gives me the chills! Its a free download album. Nicely done, nicely recorded, nice usage of Auto-tune and lastly, its freaking awesome. I'm no rapper or a RnB song writer, but its good music. And that's all that matters.
